Have you ever felt such a grieving for someone that you just hurt, you see someone who is going through such pain based on the situation they are in and you heart is just in agony because of it? I feel like that today, in times like that you try to think of everything witty and full of wisdom you can to encourage that person, or you just want to go hurt someone for the injustice they are doing, but you know what you really need to do, is get on your face before God, and pray!
I have to think this is partially how Jesus felt for his father, when he went into the temple and saw people making a mockery by prostituting the temple for their own gain, or when he saw people being taught wrong things by the pharisees and saw it time to correct them, or encountered people living in a bondage that was so thick that they just could not see their way out of it.
I pray today, that you live in freedom, the freedom that only God gives, that you don’t get caught up in the facade and the show, but that you seek the simple pure love of Jesus Christ, and that your heart is turned away from everything but Him, that you draw close to Him, and rest in His arms.
Matt. 11:28 NLT – Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
