21 Day Fast – Day 1 – August 29, 2011

Cory Bolduc, Crossroads Winnebago Campus Pastor

Have you ever seen something that was Fantastic! Something that you saw or experienced that changed your life, and in some way you knew, you had to be a part of it, no matter what. Hopefully for many of us, that’s what happened when we encountered Christ, that His impact was so amazing in our lives, that we had to be a part. Our mission as a church is to reach out and be Jesus to people that have never experienced Him before, to be His hands, and His feet, and consequently, help Everyone we can, find their place in God’s plan.

As we start this fast today, I ask you to think back to the time when you encountered God, was it unmistakable, gradual, or is it hard to remember? Ask God to bring you back to when you experienced Him in a fantastic way, and renew your passions, for Him, and His church. He truly is a Fantastic God.

Prayer Focus:  The early church encountered God in a fantastic way, pray for those who will encounter Him at Crossroads Winnebago, pray for God to draw them to him even now, if you can think of names of people you know, pray for them by name, and as we start this fast, ask Him for a renewal in your own life and spirit.

Bible Reading:  Acts 2

  1. Fantastic! Not just “really cool” or even “unbelievable”. It was fantastic to each of those in that Upper Room with the 120 and see and feel the Spirit at work and then to see 3,000 added by the end of that day…fantastic. What does that look like for this campus launch? I don’t know, but I am definitely praying that God will do that which only He can do and it will be fantastic!
